Health and fitness

Along though life I’ve been healthy, unhealthy, fat, skinny, muscular, depressed, fit and had goals of health. I’ve trained fitness, studied dietitian, athlete and health. I see a lot of things posted on the Internet about fitness and health I don’t agree with it like they are rewriting things and changing a few words some are outdated. Balanced diet I don’t follow because every body is different, there is too much fruit and fat involved along with carbs. I’m vegan so I don’t eat meat, dairy, fish and other animal products so the balanced diet doesn’t work for me . A variety of food is good, proportion is the key especially sugar, salt and fats. Healthy starts with a great diet it is essential for good health, mix diet with exercise for even better effects. I do not tell anyone that vegan, or animal products are better, but I was a long time animal eater and switched to vegan and I can tell a very big difference. If you do eat animal products mix more vegetables in your diet. Some people have medical problems that diet and exercise will not cure but may help. People on medication may have trouble with certain foods because of their medications. Take it slow and learn your body.

( Consult with you doctor before exercise )

A herb in the hand

I’m learning herbal medicine, I’m don’t take Dr prescription medicine for anything and don’t never want to. I want to use herbs more because they are natural and my body should use it better. I’m not sure how many people use herbs, I do know a lot of people who would rather take medicine. I try to be a natural as I can I want to live as long as I can with little discomfort. Is there anyone that thinks like I do about herbs?

Brain health and exercise and diet!

Can exercise and diet help your brain health. Some people that run use it as a release of stress. Exercise releases chemicals in the brain which increases blood flow, it helps with depression and anxiety, better sleep, energy and memory are benefits on exercise. Your brain isn’t muscle it’s made of fat, protein and water but increasing blood flow increases oxygen and glucose which helps with brain health and function.
You are what you eat there is no truer saying than that. Nuts, berries, fruits and vegetables are great for brain health. The brain is about 70% polyunsaturated fat types of vegetables, especially green, leafy vegetables, berries, nuts, olive oil as main cooking oil, whole grains, fish, beans, poultry. I am vegan so I get mine from fruit, vegetables and nut avocados are a good source in moderation. A powerful brain is a key factor to being health and maintaining a healthy weight. Eat good food and exercise simple as that, yes it is a tried and true method. Routine is one key to strive for if you can get into an exercise and diet routine it is the best way.

Happiness and sleep

Being happy starts for me with a good night’s sleep and maybe a good dream. When I get up and don’t feel as tired as I did going to bed. Science doesn’t fully understand sleep, dreams or why you have to sleep. The downside to the happiness sleep brings me is that it’s not all the time maybe once a week. It seems like I spent more time trying to not be sleepy than spending time trying to get better sleep. I would take a pill to help me sleep and another the next day to wake me up. I try to repeat what I did the night before but it never turns out the same. I wonder how other people try to get a great night’s sleep? I know some people have pain that keeps them from sleeping well, some times it’s hard to shut your mind down to fall asleep. Sleep is very important for repair and I feel resetting your mind just like exercise is good for your body. I read sometimes before So for me being happy and feeling good seems like it relates to good sleep but is hard to get. I can’t be the only one that feels this way, starting my day rested may the day go well. I get a better workout which makes me feel good about myself which makes work better. So why am I going on and on about sleep because it is so important for good health just like a good diet and exercise.

Exercise and vitamins?

Multivitamin or single vitamin and do I need vitamins, this question is a big debate. If you eat a healthy diet so probably don’t need vitamins unless you have a vitamin deficiency. Symptoms of vitamin deficiency include brittle hair and nails, mouth ulcers, hair loss, scaly skin patches, and more. Recognizing these signs can help you adjust your diet accordingly. You should talk with your doctor to properly diagnose which vitamins you have a deficiency.
While you are at your doctor ask for a hair sample to test your micro nutrients. Micronutrients are vitamins and minerals needed by the body in very small amounts.
Back to the question about vitamins, multivitamins can have side effects Most studies find no benefit from multivitamins in protecting the brain or heart.
I myself take B12 but I eat a vegan diet high vegetables. Diet is a crucial factor for vitamins and minerals. I conclusion if you eat a healthy diet generally you don’t need vitamins for your exercise lifestyle.
( My opinion is if a doctor has you on a vitamin keep taking it, but a healthy balanced diet is the best way which if you are exercising diet is very important. )
