Running in cold weather

Any other people have a hard time getting motivated to jog, run or just walk outside or is it just me? The weather where I live is colder than normal a few years ago it wouldn’t have bothered me but the older I get motivation is harder to find. I used to get motivated training for a race or a hard trial run. I live in the south and the weather is cold one week and hot the next. The thing I hated about running when it’s cold is over dressing because if you get too hot and have to take something off you have to carry it. Sometimes you sweat a lot and then when you are done you are too cold. I’ve run in snow, storms, rain and high heat sometimes I feel like I’ve done it all and am always looking for something else new. My mind just isn’t in the right frame for me to get motivated. I know it is a great exercise but lately it has become boring to me. I listened to music and my breathing to keep a tempo to keep my mind from getting bored, here lately I have got into audiobooks. Summer running there is more beautiful scenery to look at so I’m not as bored. What do other people do for running in the winter?
