Mine would be a toss up of three Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I like the holidays in the fall because the weather is getting cold and the days shorter. It seems like time slows down. My workout exercises get more intense because it’s cooler to be outside. Halloween brings up childhood with all the masks and costumes I remember from when I was in elementary school. I like Halloween decorations I’m not a big fan of the electronic things we have nowadays. Thanksgiving is still childhood memories of the meals my mother used to cook way before I was a vegan. Christmas is still childhood memories of the gifts the time out of school and family. Halloween is just fun ,thanksgiving is the celebration of the pilgrims making it through winter and a good harvest and Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus. I guess it would have to be
Christmas as my favorite. As I got older holidays just didn’t mean much it became a mark in the year more than a celebration. Then I got even older holidays started meaning more to me because it’s about family and friends. But it’s still the birth of Jesus which I’m not getting into religion. One thing that has changed about holidays is my diet and eating healthy and exercising. I don’t care about the hot month holidays they are just time off work except the 4th of July it is an American celebration. Holidays can be a relaxing time for me but for some it’s stressful. Probably when you were a kid the holidays might have been fun and stress free so why would getting older add stress. Usually its family is the thing that brings you together with each other that’s where love and tolerance are needed.
Be merry and enjoy all your holidays with family and friends life is short and enjoying it can make everyone happy because happiness is rare and unique. They will be here in a short time to be healthy and happy with whoever you celebrate with. What would yours be?
