One question about weight loss is this, if you’re overweight compared to a skinny person, does that mean the skinny person is healthier than the overweight person no it doesn’t diet, what you eat, how much you eat and consistency are some of the factors. I don’t believe the old balanced diet is correct anymore fats, carbs and grains are not right plus it doesn’t give proportion amounts or calories. Larger amounts of green vegetables and smaller or no meat and watch how much grain you eat is a good diet. Most of your fat should come from vegetables like avocado and coconut to name a few, fruits need to be limited because of the sugar.
Now to tackle the question about some diets and why they fail. All of the fad diets restrict some food and increase other food which is not healthy and your body is going to fight back. You may lose a few lbs but will gain it back quicker then you lost it. I’m vegan I have seen that called a fad diet, with me it’s a lifestyle not a diet. Healthy eating for life is the best way to lose weight and keep it off. Being vegan which I don’t eat any animal products mostly beans, greens and fruit well is it healthy in my opinion yes, I have gotten rid of all the sickness I had lost weight and feel great with no pain and I am 54 years old. Then there are a lot of drugs promising that you will loss weight most don’t work and the ones that might work what are the side effects of the drug is it worth it to lose a few lbs. I have met some people who never cared about being healthy until they started having medical problems. These people rely on drugs and doctors to help them live. It’s never too late to be healthier, start while you are young enough don’t rely on fads and drugs reward yourself with health for your body and brain. Eating at the same time every day can increase weight lose eating a small breakfast, bigger lunch and a small dinner or two regular meals a day helps to control your body weight.
